This month's dinner party recipe
Now, we'd be the first to agree there's nothing wrong with being lazy occasionally. If you've spent hours preparing the starter and main course for a dinner party, it's understandably tempting to resort to a shop-bought tart or pudding for dessert.
However, this delicious dessert dish is quick and easy to prepare - but, more importantly, the mixture of melt-in-your-mouth fresh fruit, quality cheese and super-velvety chocolate is absolutely heavenly to taste.
Award-winning Grana Padano cheese is available in all major supermarkets - but if you want to indulge yourself and your guests with the premium variety, head to Harvey Nichols. The absolutely fabulous store has just selected its very own Riserva Grana Padano, a specially matured 24-month-old cheese from the Ambrosi dairy in Brescia, Northern Italy. Strawberries with Grana Padano and honey
Ingredients (to serve four)
4 thick slices of panettone; 275g strawberries, hulled; 15g Grana Padano, coarsely grated; 15g good dark chocolate, coarsely grated; 2 tbsp good runny honey
Method
1. Toast the slices of panettone on both sides, and place on four plates.
2. Slice the strawberries in half and divide between the four slices of toasted panettone, piling them on top.
3. Sprinkle each one with the grated Grana Padano and dark chocolate.
4. Heat the honey very gently - it only needs to be warm, not hot - and pour over the strawberries. Serve immediately.
