This month's fashion indulgence

Uh-oh! We think we've fallen head over heels in love. The object of our affection? It's former Primrose Hill princess Pearl Lowe's brand new winter fashion collection, which is simply screaming out to be embraced by our inner disco diva.

The mood? It's all high-octane glamour, sequins and blocks of colour - the perfect pieces to inject a little life into our wardrobes. Taking its lead from legendary New York club Studio 54, the range features dazzling dresses in bold brights with a warm palette of red, green and gold.

And the 1970s feel is continued throughout the collection with an iridescent jumpsuit in Pearl's signature black (trust us - jumpsuits are going to be big news in 2009) and shorter lace playsuits. Mamma mia!

So where did Pearl get her inspiration? 'I wanted to create something captivating with a twist, and looked to the playful chic of Lauren Hutton as a starting point,' she explains. 'These pieces help to transform women into the most exciting, confident version of themselves, and will certainly make them feel like the life and soul of the party.'

And naturally, Pearl called upon the services of supermodel daughter Daisy to model the new pieces for her - although the outfits are likely to appeal to women of all ages.

Elsewhere in Pearl's fashion collection, there's a strong emphasis on that other oh-so-now trend: lace. But in fact, the multi-talented designer has been working with lace since 2001 when she first launched her company producing lace curtains and tablecloths. Fired on by her success, she's now added a beautiful line of vintage-inspired handmade bespoke dresses.

And to accompany the Studio 54-style pieces, Pearl has also designed a line of long, flowing lace scarves in antique lace. Each item is handmade at Pearl's home in Somerset. Prices start at £95 for a scarf, while the winter collection retails at £495. Yes, it's a real indulgence - but it's worth it! Find out more at www.pearllowe.co.uk.
