US beauty guru Paula Dorf is the make-up mastermind behind her eponymous cult cosmetics brand, which has recently been re-launched in the UK. Paula has worked in the industry for more than 25 years: back in the 80s, she was the first make-up artist to use a brush to apply foundation, don't you know?
And having launched her own super-successful range of brushes, Paula went on to create a collection of colours, featuring eye shadows, cream and powder blushes and vibrant lip colours. It's all 100% hypo-allergenic and is not tested on animals.
Celebrity fans of the brand include Hollywood A-listers such as Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Renée Zellweger and Cate Blanchett. Now if that's not a glowing recommendation, we don't know what is!
Our favourites from the range include Cheek Color Cream (£17), a deliciously creamy blusher that gives a naturally translucent effect in a choice of two luscious shades, Peek-a-boo or Candy Apple: it can be built up gradually to produce the perfect tint.
Eye Color Glimmer (£17) is a light powder shadow with a celestial shimmer available in 13 gorgeous colours. And Perfect Glo (£40) is a compact foundation for normal-to-dry complexions that's so weightless, it looks like just natural skin.
However, it's the clever little innovations that make this collection really stand out from the crowd. Transformer (£16) miraculously transforms any eye shadow into a long-wearing, smudge-proof liquid liner. And Magic Stick (£16) is a light, textured concealer that instantly hides under-eye circles, blemishes and broken capillaries.
