Hollywood royalty Liv Tyler is currently wowing cinema audiences with her role as Betty Ross in The Incredible Hulk. Liv's stunning looks are inherited from her celebrity parents, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and former model Bebe Buell.

'I've been lucky enough to meet Liv a few times, and not only is she absolutely lovely, but she's also naturally beautiful,' says celebrity make-up artist Jane Bradley. 'She has flawless skin, striking blue eyes and full lips - all the ingredients she needs to look even more gorgeous with only a little bit of make-up.'

OK, so we're not all as stunning as Liv when we roll out of bed in the morning, but it's still possible to pick up a few tips from her look. 'Liv's pale complexion and dark hair provide a perfect canvas, so something as simple as a slick of bright lipstick can create a dramatic look,' says Jane. 'She wears red amazingly well, and teams it with a fine line of black pencil drawn around the eyes, plus a couple of coats of black mascara. But she maintains that "porcelain" feel by keeping blusher to a minimum.'

To get the look, even out your skin with a shade of foundation that matches your tone exactly - then add a touch of powder for a dewy, fresh feel. 'Next, take a black eye pencil, and draw very closely into and around the lash line on both upper and lower lids,' says Jane. Try Estée Lauder Automatic Pencil For Eyes (£15; www.esteelauder.co.uk).

'Now take a fine, small brush, dip it in some black shadow, and go over the pencil,' Jane continues. 'This helps to create the perfect line and avoid smudging.' Apply two coats of mascara - such as Max Factor Masterpiece Beyond Length Mascara in Moonlit Black (£8.49; available at Boots) - onto curled lashes. 

'Liv prefers to keep her brows natural, so swipe a clear gel through yours to eradicate excess powder or foundation, and set them in place,' says Jane. 'Finally, choose your favourite lipstick: Liv switches from red to beige to pink, depending on what she's wearing, so you can do the same!'
