Salon treatment of the month
While most of us would notice an extra inch or two on our waist, bust and hip measurements, excess pounds and flabby bits can often creep up in other areas without us even realising. Yes, we're talking about those age-old post-Christmas problems: bingo wings and back fat!
Now, a few trips to the gym obviously won't go amiss if you overindulge during the festive season. But you could also try a specially devised salon treatment to blitz those tricky bits. And according to those in the know, the super-effective Eporex treatment available at Janet Ginnings' London salon could be your passport to a better body.
Eporex is already a hit with celebrities such as supermodel Elle Macpherson for its cellulite-zapping abilities. But now top beauty therapist Janet has devised a programme to treat hard-to-tone areas where skin can often look mottled and lumpy, as well as flabby.
The state-of-the-art Eporex machine uses a gentle electric current to push fat-dissolving herbal concentrate directly into the skin's superficial layer of fat. This then sets to work breaking down the stored fat and converting it into a liquid fatty acid, which is recognised by the body as a source of energy and burnt off in the normal course of a day.
The treatment also acts as a powerful detoxifier, encouraging the release of toxins from the body via the liver and kidneys. And depending on how much fat needs to be treated, the therapist can programme the machine to penetrate up to 10cm in depth, which means it goes on working effectively for up to 48 hours after your salon visit.
The treatment costs £82 a session - with a 10% discount if you book a course of seven. However, you should notice an improvement in skin tone after just one visit and can speed up results by taking 15 minutes of exercise afterwards, as this will activate toning and fat-burning benefits even faster.
