Follow Martin Johnson across Europe...

The new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class is undoubtedly one of the most capable cars in the world and we aim to prove it.

We'll be taking two of these cars, an E 320 CDI and the mighty E 63 AMG on a European road trip to prove it can take the pace and deliver us safely to one of the most famous racetracks in the world, the legendary Nürburgring.

Our starting point is Brooklands in Surrey, the site of Mercedes-Benz World.

From there we will be heading to Paris and through France to Geneva before aiming north for Stuttgart to visit the Mercedes-Benz Museum, then departing for the "Green Hell" of the Nürburgring.

For anyone who follows rugby, our wheelman will need no introduction, former Leicester and England captain, Martin Johnson.

The man who led the England side to an unmissable victory over Australia in the 2003 Rugby World Cup will hopefully prove as adept at leading our cars through Europe.
